Who will KC’s #1 be? Royals blog The Pinetar Rag says at this time it’s up in the air.
Footnotes from 2005: Justin Upton was the first player chosen in the 2005 draft. Ryan Zimmerman, picked 4th in the 2005 draft by the Nats, was first to reach the majors from last year’s draft when he appeared in a game September 1.
After trying to stay focused watching the NFL draft on ESPN, I think I’ll sit this one out and catch these guys when/if they make the majors.
Justin Upton came to John O’Donnell Stadium in early May. It was a Thursday night, which made it “Beer Night.”
He played CF and hit third. Scorched several line drives. On the down side, he tried to go up in the stands in the ninth inning to discuss his strikeout with drunks who were riding him. Not me: OTHER drunks. Teammates held him back.
Maybe we can forgive him, since last year th this time, he was in high school.
Teddy,
I know you better than that. You know the hot prospects before they come out of their momma’s womb. :)
