A few players had a good day with the stick. Khalil Greene, Eric Chavez, Hank Blalock and Mueller all went yard twice. Vlad Guerrero, Mike Lowell and Mueller all went 4 for 4.
Bad Billy Mueller gets the nod for LSOTD ’cause he did both and well, I just didn’t think he had it in him. He had 10 homers all of last year. Granted, his power has gone up. In his first 7 years, he hit 41 dingers. In the last 3, he managed to knock out 31.
These are his first two of the year. No complaints from the Dodgers, I’m sure. He’s second in the NL so far in the early season with a .464 average.
